About Us
TOUCH - Together Our Unity Can Heal, Inc. was founded in 1989 by concerned Rockland County residents responding to the needs of our neighbors who are living with and affected by HIV disease. TOUCH's approach has been to developed holistic programs and services to meet the needs of our members. In addition to our programs listed in our client services, TOUCH services include the following: weekly support groups for adults entitled “Living Well”, “Women Living Well”, “On the Road to Acceptance” and our teen program, entitled “Teens Living Well” which is the only program in the Hudson Valley region for HIV positive teenagers. Additionally we provide case management and nutritionist services. Our food pantry delivered over 120,000 meals last year, education services for the general community. We also offer a high school peer based HIV education program “Project Hope” for Rockland County high schools.
After five years of providing nutritional services in Orange County, New York, TOUCH opened a branch office in August 2008. The new office located Middletown, has allowed us to better serve the unmet needs of this region and offer a bridge to other services to help people living with HIV increased access to care.
TOUCH is here to help our neighbor’s everyday and to fulfill our philosophy that Together Our Unity Can Heal.
